2023 has seen some of the biggest game releases in the last half-decade with the likes of Diablo 4 and Final Fantasy 16 releasing on PS5, Xbox, and other platforms. There are quite a few major releases by big-name publishers scheduled for July 2023. Below, we mention 7 of the biggest games coming out this month.
Synapse
Synapse is a first-person VR game where players take control of a highly trained operative who is sent inside the mind of a Colonel who plans on destroying the world. According to the developers, the game was crafted to make full use of the PlayStation VR 2.
The game came out on July 4 for the PS5/ PS VR.
Mordhau
Mordhau is a first-person hack-and-slash game set in the medieval period and focuses on precise and realistic combat.
Like Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, this isn’t a brand new game either and was a huge success when it first came out on PC, but it is finally coming out to the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One on July 12.
Sonic Prime Dash
Sonic Prime Dash is coming to mobile, courtesy of Netflix. The gameplay will be similar to the Sonic Dash and will have characters from the Sonic Prime series such as Rebel Denizen and Tails Nine.
It will be available on July 13, for the Netflix app on mobile.
Exoprimal
Exoprimal is an upcoming third-person shooter set in a futuristic sci-fi world that frequently gets invaded by dinosaurs, and it is up to the player, along with up to 3 other teammates to fight them off with the help of various unique battlesuits and weapons.
The game is set to come out on July 14 for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Pikmin 4
Pikmin 4 is an RTS (real-time-strategy) game and the sixth installment in the Pikmin franchise. It will be the first game in the series to feature a custom playable character and allow players to explore the world during day time as well as nighttime.
The game is set to come out on July 21 for the Nintendo Switch.

Remnant 2
This game is a sequel to the hit Remnants: From the Ashes, which can be best described as Dark Souls, but with guns. The sequel will have more gnarly enemies and deadlier bosses for players to fight through along with up to two other friends.
The game will be coming out on July 25, for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
While Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart isn’t a brand new game, it is coming out for the PC at last. Initially released in 2021, it’s a third-person action-adventure and platformer full of fun enemies to fight and puzzles to solve.
It is coming out on July 26.
The Expanse: A Telltale Series Episode 1
The Expanse is the latest game being developed by Telltale and is being co-developed along with Deck Nine. The Expanse for those who don’t know is a sci-fi tv show based on the mega-hit bestseller written by James. S. A. Corey. The game is said to be a prequel to the show and therefore will have an entirely different story.
It is set to come out on July 27th for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Disney Illusion Island
Disney Illusion Island is a platformer akin to the 90s platformer. In it, players will follow Mickey and his friends as they explore Monoth, a mysterious island, to recover three mystical books and save the world from disaster.
The game is coming out on July 28, for the Nintendo Switch.
