‘Cities: Skylines 2’ announced for 2023 by Paradox Interactive

Paradox Interactive has announced the release of Cities: Skylines 2, eight years after the release of the first game. It will be coming to PS5, Xbox series X/S, and PC.

Cities: Skylines 2 is being developed by Colossal Order and will upgrade and enhance the building mechanics of the first game. Along with a bunch of new construction and customization options, Paradox has claimed that the game will allow players to build “any kind of city they can imagine” with “fully-realized transport and economy systems.”

The game is apparently going to have advanced modding capabilities for devoted fans to play around with.

A concrete release date has not been revealed as of yet, but Paradox Interactive has said that Cities: Skylines 2 is going to come out sometime this year.

The game is a single-player no-holds-barred city-building simulator. Players are tasked with urban planning, road placements, implementing taxes, public services, and public transportation in their created cities.

They also have to manage factors like budget, health, employment, traffic, and pollution levels.
