‘Dead Island 2’ release moved up by 7 days

The long-awaited zombie shooter Dead Island 2 will now be released 7 days earlier according to the latest update. The new date has been shifted from April 28, 2023, to April 21, 2023. 

Developer Dambuster Studios and publisher Deep Silver made the announcement via a tweet.

The tweet, made from the official account read: “You asked for it, you got it. Dead Island 2 went gold and it’s coming out a week early. See you in HELL-A on April 21, 2023.”

With it was a video that showed off all the comments made by gamers saying things like, “Polish the hell outta the game will ya” and “Ok, but are you ever going to release this game?!?!” 

The video then shows a text that says Dead Island 2 has gone gold, meaning it is ready to be sold and will be out earlier. Many gamers have replied to the tweet expressing their excitement and indifference and all the emotions in-between for the same.

DI2 is a first-person action RPG and a sequel to the 2011 game. It is the third major game in the series after Dead Island (2011) and Dead Island: Riptide (2013). The plot is set in LA which has been quarantined due to a zombie outbreak.
