Diablo 4: Everything in the open beta and exclusive rewards

The latest installment in Blizzard Entertainment’s hit action RPG franchise, Diablo 4 recently got a closed beta, and with the open beta coming up, players who are interested in the game can get a glimpse of what to expect from the full release.

Diablo 4 will have a plethora of content for players to indulge in and the beta will allow them to explore a small chunk of the game. The open beta will be available from March 24 till March 26.

Classes, characters, and level cap

The Diablo 4 closed/early access beta allowed the participants to experience three out of the five classes that are going to be in the full game. The open beta however will allow players to play all five classes which include the Barbarian, Rogue, Sorcerer, Druid, and Necromancer.

Players can create up to ten different classes in Diablo 4’s open beta giving them the opportunity to try out all five of the classes. Their characters however can reach a max level of 25.

World and exploration

Players get to explore the first zone of the game called the Fractured Peaks. It’s a snowy region with mountainous land and craggy steppes full of monsters to slay, dungeons to delve into, cities and towns to explore, and much more.

In the Fractured Peaks lies a city called Kyovashad, which is a safe zone inside which players can trade with NPCs, stash their loot, upgrade their gear, etc.

Quests, dungeons, and events

Players can get a glimpse of the campaign and the main story in the open beta. They will be able to play through the Prologue and the Act 1 of the main story.

The Fractured Peaks will also house a number of side quests and dungeons for players to complete. There will be precisely 23 dungeons and side quests, each scattered about in the Fractured Peaks.

While exploring the world, players will come across World Events and Legion Events. World Events are small tasks that pop up randomly and can be completed pretty quickly and in return, players will be rewarded.

Legion Events on the other hand are challenging objectives where players will have to face off hordes of enemies. These events will be marked on the map and will reward the player generously upon completion.

World bosses

There will be one world boss available in the open beta for players to challenge. Ashava the Pestilent is a daunting creature that can cut you up into pieces with her talons and forearm blades or poison you to death with her spit.

Like all the other World bosses, Ashava only appears on certain days in a specific location. Defeating her will be no easy task and it is advisable to have a large group of players with you. Upon defeating her you will be rewarded with Legendary gear so fighting her should be a priority.

Exclusive Beta rewards

Players can obtain three exclusive rewards by playing the beta which will be available once the full game launches:

  • Initial Casualty Title: Obtained by having one character reach Kyovashad.
  • Early Voyager Title: Obtained by having one character reach level 20.
  • Wolf Pack Cosmetic Item: Obtained by having one character reach level 20.

Diablo 4 launches on June 6, 2023, for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC.
