Here’s everything we know so far.
Story and setting
The narrative of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth picks up where the first game left off, with Cloud and his companions escaping the city of Midgar.
They embark on a journey across the world in pursuit of Sephiroth, a fallen hero and a haunting figure from Cloud’s past.
This quest will lead them to “The Forgotten Capital” and deeper into the rich lore of the Final Fantasy VII universe.
Gameplay and features
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is expected to feature a blend of action and strategic combat, with the addition of new team-based abilities.
The battle system combines flashy, action-packed fights with slower, strategic battles, catering to a diverse range of playstyles. Players will engage in combat using normal attacks to fill their ATB gauge, which is required for using abilities and spells.
The game will also include various minigames, like G-Bike, Chocobo Races, and a 3D Brawler, adding unique elements of fun beyond the main storyline.
