Ted Lasso is a comedy-drama series made by Apple TV+. The show is about the titular American football coach who manages a fictional premier league club called AFC Richmond. Though he doesn’t know a thing about football (or should we say soccer) he tries to elevate the mediocre team through motivation.
The show has become the most-watched TV series on Apple TV+ and has been nominated for 20 primetime Emmy awards. There’s no doubt that the show is popular, which doesn’t make EA’s decision to add Ted Lasso and the team to FIFA 23 all that surprising.
So, how to get Ted Lasso and AFC Richmond in FIFA 23?
Ted Lasso and Coach Beard
Ted Lasso and Coach Beard can be found in the Seasonal tab of the ‘Star Gallery’ in FUT Moments. They both cost 4 stars each and to earn these stars you need to complete some of the ‘Moments’ in Ultimate Team.
AFC Richmond
Unlike Ted Lasso and Coach Beard, AFC Richmond players are not available in FIFA Ultimate Team. They are, however, playable in other game modes that include: Career Mode, Kick-off, Online Friendlies, and Online Sessions.
To play as AFC Richmond in Career mode you will need to begin a new managerial career and then pick to play as a real manager when prompted. Ted Lasso can be found in the ‘Rest of World’ section, with AFC Richmond being his default club.
If you wish to stick with the Greyhounds, you will need to swap out one of the existing Premier League sides in order to make room for them.

AFC Richmond badge, the Nelson Road stadium, and other rewards
To get these cosmetic rewards you will need to complete the ‘Ted Lasso’s Story’ objective in FUT Moments, which is located in the ‘Objectives’ menu found in the ‘Home’ tab.
To get the AFC Richmond badge, you will need to score a goal in any match type which will complete the ‘We are Richmond’ objective. (It has to be mentioned that ‘Moments’ don’t count for this challenge.)
To get the Premium Bronze Pack, you will need to play three Squad Battles matches with the AFC Richmond Crest equipped, which will complete the ‘The Greyhounds’ objective.
To get the Jumbo Bronze Pack, you will need to purchase three items from the Transfer Market, which will complete the ‘Earning Stars’ objective.
To get the Jumbo Premium Bronze Pack, you will need to play one Rivals match with the AFC Richmond Crest equipped, which will complete the ‘Match Day’ objective.
To get the AFC Richmond Stadium theme you will need to complete all the above-mentioned objectives.
