Lord of the Rings: Gollum release date announced

Daedalic Entertainment, the developers of Lord of the Rings: Gollum, have announced the release date of the highly anticipated adventure game.

Daedalic Entertainment has confirmed The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will arrive on PC and consoles, including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, on the 1st of September later this year, with a Switch version coming sometime later. 

The teaser depicts Gollum’s two personas debating whether to attack other orcs who have heard the ruckus, implying that the game will contain choice-based gameplay. It also shows players that the game prioritises stealth as the protagonist is seen to be creeping up on an orc before attacking.

This announcement has pleased fans, who have great hopes for the stealth-adventure game. Fantasy game fans are most excited to see renowned locales from the Lord of the Rings novels and films. Some of the few verified locations in The Lord of the Rings: Gollum are Mirkwood, Moria, and Mordor.

Fans are also eager to see several iconic characters to be featured in the game. It has been confirmed that Gandalf will feature in the game, however, it is unclear whether other characters such as Bilbo will be added.
