‘Mortal Kombat 12’ to release in 2023

Ever since Mortal Kombat 12 was teased in January of 2022 by NetherRealm producer, Jonathan Anderson on Twitter, fans of the series have been begging for even a crumb of news regarding the game for over a year. Their wishes were granted during the recent Warner Bros. Discovery earnings call. 

The executive vice president of global investor strategy of Warner Bros. Discovery, Andrew Slabin was talking about the success of Hogwarts Legacy when he revealed that Mortal Kombat 12 along with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set to come out this year.

“…there’s lot more to come, including the highly anticipated Mortal Kombat 12 and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, games also set for release this year, with ambitious launch projections,” said Slabin. The unexpected announcement was clipped and passed around Twitter. 

Co-creator of Mortal Kombat, Ed Boon jokingly tweeted, “So who has heard about the news of Injustice 3.” There have been no further updates regarding the game, but it is likely that more news will soon follow.
