Additionally, the expansion will introduce a new zone called West Weald, a new 12-player Trial called Lucent Citadel.
It will feature new World Events, World Bosses, Delves, Public Dungeons, Housing Items, Antiquities, and Sets.
West Weald Zone
The main hub of the Gold Road Chapter is West Weald, situated between Cyrodiil, Gold Coast, Reaper’s March, and Craglorn.
The city of Skingrad serves as the central city in this new zone.
Fans of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will recognize this area, which was a part of the game released in 2006.
The region is known for its lush, autumnal landscapes, dense forests, and stunning vistas.
Notable locations within West Weald include Skingrad, Dawnwood, Vashabar, the Colovian Highlands, and Wildburn.
New features and systems
Scribing System: Scribing allows players to collect and customize skills to improve their builds in ESO.
This system focuses on the Weapon Skill lines, Mages Guild, Fighters Guild, Soul Magic, Assault, and Support Skill lines, offering extensive customization for players.
Lucent Citadel Trial: A new 12-player trial that promises to be a significant addition to the game’s PvE content.
New Daedric Prince: The storyline involves the emergence of a forgotten Daedric Prince, Ithelia, adding a new layer to the ESO narrative.

Release date and availability
The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road is set for release on June 3, 2024, for PC/Mac and on June 18, 2024, for Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
The expansion is now available for pre-purchase, and those who pre-order will receive unique bonus rewards at launch, including the Welkyndstone Ruins Wolf mount and Welkyndstone Ruins Puppet.

Apart from the Gold Road Chapter, the developers at ZeniMax Online Studios (ZOS) have planned a robust content roadmap for 2024.
This includes three major updates alongside the new chapter.
Update 41 – Scions of Ithelia: A Dungeon DLC Game Pack with Quality of Life Improvements.
Update 43 – Unnamed: Introducing a new Housing Related Feature, along with Quality of Life Improvements and Bug Fixes.
Update 44 – Unnamed: Adding Two New Companions and a new PvP-Related Feature.
