Back when Hogwarts Legacy was first announced, it left all Potterheads in a frenzy. It showed all the signs to be this be revolutionary game for the Harry Potter franchise.
What is it about?
It’s a bit different from the existing console games that follow the storyline from the books and movies, and your play as Harry Potter.
Set in the late 1800s, this game takes place well before the likes of Voldemort and Harry Potter came into existence. In fact, it’s around when Dumbledore was born. (Are you thinking what we’re thinking?)
In Hogwarts Legacy, you play as a completely new character, who is attending Hogwarts. The physical characteristics can be completely customised.
Its open-world gameplay allows you to be free in exploring the wizarding world, much like the GTA games, and not force you to follow a rigid structure.
To add to the suspense, your character hold the key to an ancient secret that could help or destroy the world, depending on your choices. Talk about pressure.
When will it be released?
Announced at a Playstation 5 event back in September 2020, it was slated to release some time in 2021. However, due to setbacks, presumable due to the pandemic, it has been delayed till 2022.
