‘Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty’ Steam ratings mostly negative due to performance issues

Team Ninja’s newly released action RPG, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has a “Mostly Negative” rating on Steam as it is filled with bugs and performance issues on PC, according to players.

At the time of writing, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has 5,926 total reviews on Steam and a 37% positive score.

The general consensus is that the game itself is good, but it is riddled with problems that make it hard to enjoy it. Most of the complaints say that the game performs poorly on PC and that the keyboard and mouse controls are far from desirable.

Players are saying that the game has a lot of stuttering issues which is obviously bad news in an experience that heavily revolves around timed dodges and deflects. Players have reported frequent crashes, especially when loading into newer areas.

The other major complaint was regarding the keyboard and mouse controls. Especially that the camera movement while using a mouse is “janky” and that the camera doesn’t move unless the player moves the mouse above a certain speed.

Other players have jokingly made fun of players who use a keyboard and mouse for playing Souls-like games like Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. One player posted a review under the game saying, “You are legally obligated to fight anyone who plays Nioh-like or Souls-like games with keyboard and mouse.”

Team Ninja has not replied to the issue, but they have posted a blog post that might help some players out.
