Diablo 4 like its predecessors and ARPGs in general has numerous dungeons. To be specific, it has 31 dungeons that are connected to the main story and 115 dungeons that aren’t. However, not all of these are useful if you’re looking to get some Legendary gear. Here are the six best dungeons in Diablo 4 for farming Legendary and Rare items.
6) Maugan’s Works
Maugan’s Works is one of the best dungeons for farming Legendary and Rare items as it has more than a dozen elite enemies to fight. Along with that it also has numerous knights and bandits for you to kill.
This Diablo 4 dungeon can be found north of the Vyeresz Waypoint in Fethis Wetlands and completing it for the first time will reward you the Earthstriker Legendary Aspect for the Barbarian class.
5) Forbidden City
The Forbidden City is another great choice for farming Legendary and Rare items because it has three elite enemies along with some Animus carriers for you to fight. It also has a cursed shrine even which upon completion will give you a Greater Radiant Chest!
This dungeon is located near the Menestad waypoint and north of Sarkova Pass in the Fractured Peaks. Completing it for the first time will reward you with the Legendary Nighthowler’s Aspect for the Druid class.
4) Mercy’s Reach
Mercy’s Reach is amazing for Legendary Gear not only because of the many elite enemies you will fight throughout but also because of the many randomly spawning chests which increases the chance of an Odd Resplendent Chest spawning which usually contains a Legendary or Rare item.
The dungeon is located close to the Forbidden City entrance in Fractured Peaks. More specifically it can be found in the Westering Lowlands and is at equal distance from Firebreak Manor and Menestad waypoints.

3) Champions Demise
There are two elite Cairn Defiler Slayer of Champions in the Champion’s Demise dungeon which is great for dropping legendary gear.
This Diablo 4 dungeon can be found near the Jirandai waypoint in the Untamed Scarps section of the Dry Steppes. Completing it for the first time will give you Umbral Legendary Aspect which can be used by all classes.
2) Iron Hold
Set in an eerie prison-esque environment, Iron Hold is a great dungeon to farm for legendaries as the second half of this dungeon has many elite enemies. So many in fact that it might be challenging to get through them, especially for newer players.
This Diablo 4 dungeon can be found near the Ruins of Rakhat Keep waypoint in Hawezar and completing it for the first time will reward you with the Legendary Fastblood Aspect for the Necromancer class.
1) Ruins Of Eridu
Set in a fortress-esque environment, Ruins of Eridu is a long and drawn-out dungeon with many elite enemies which means you have way more odds of getting legendary drops. Keep in mind these enemies are quite difficult and many of them are poison and toxin-based, so if you are a solo player know that you will be in for a hard time.
The dungeon can be found in the Toxic Fens area of Hawezar, west of the Vyeresz waypoint, and completing it for the first time will reward you with the Legendary Sacrificial Aspect for the Necromancer class.
