Xbox Games Showcase 2023 showed off a number of exciting games including the highly anticipated Starfield, which stole the show. Out of the 27 games showcased, here are six of the biggest ones.
Starfield
Probably the biggest announcement at Xbox Games Showcase 2023, Starfield’s gameplay was shown off along with a release date. Bethesda revealed that the game is going to have thousands of planets on which players will explore and fight enemies. The combat looks similar to Fallout where players will be able to use guns as well as melee weapons to kill their enemies.
The ships that players will use to travel between planets will be customizable allowing them to truly make it their own. The game is set to release on September 6, 2023.
Fable
A reboot for the highly regarded Fable franchise was revealed at Xbox Games Showcase 2023. Not much of the game was revealed, but we do know that Playground Games — best known for Forza — are said to be working on the game.
Forza Motorsport
Speaking of Forza, Forza Motorsport is also making a comeback. A reboot for the franchise was announced at Xbox Games Showcase 2023 and of course, is being made by Playground Games. More than half a decade after Forza Motorsport 7, the franchise is getting a new installment, and sim racer fans are naturally excited.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty
Cyberpunk 2077’s biggest update yet, Phantom Liberty, was shown off at Xbox Games Showcase 2023. Johnny Silverhand will return and still be played by the beloved Keanu Reeves. However, another Legendary actor will be part of the game; Idris Elba will be playing Soloman Reed. The update will take players to a new region of Night City called Dogtown. The update will be released on September 27, 2023.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
The Flight Simulator franchise is getting its next installment. Flight Simulator 2024 is going to have some new features such as jobs and careers players can take part in. It will also have missions that will see players doing jobs such as crop dusting, search and rescue, etc. New vehicles are also being added some of which include the A-10 Warthog and hot air balloons. The game is set to release sometime in 2024.
Xbox Series S 1TB version
A new version of the Xbox Series S was unveiled and will now have 1TB of storage. Those who were dissatisfied with the original’s storage capacity can now buy the 1TB version for $349.99. It will be available in carbon black and will offer quick loading times and up to 120 frames per second.
